UPDATE (AUG-21-2015): Upgraded to 80mm diameter. Have you ever placed a glass on a coaster, only to end up removing both when trying to lift it later? I detest that feeling. So, I created my own custom coaster with one primary goal in mind: quickly draining liquids off the base, eliminating the 'sucker' effect. This design allows liquid to flow into an external recess and be trapped there. Drainage is optimized for low-viscosity liquids, so don't expect it to work flawlessly on honey or ice cream. I chose cylindrical fluting for its superior tactile feel compared to other shapes like prisms, making it more comfortable to clean. Functionality was my sole focus; beauty was an afterthought.
