The Pelicans at The Petit Palais, Paris
myminifactory
This bronze masterpiece by Rembrandt Bugatti (Milan, 1885 - Paris, 1916) was completed in 1906. Born in 1885 in Milan, Rembrandt Bugatti arrived in Paris in 1902 and his animal sculptures cast in bronze by Ernest Hébrard, a French architect, archaeologist, and urban planner, made him renowned at an early age. He often visited the museum where he would meticulously copy animals 'on the spot'. The sculpture seeks out unusual postures: here a pelican has its beak cast over its companion creature. This object is part of "Scan The World", a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a comprehensive digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the world for public access at no cost.
