Although most shoppers rarely take the time to appreciate the surrounding structures, Antwerp's Meir shopping street boasts some of the city's most breathtaking architectural landmarks. This 3D scan captures the grand entrance to the Neoclassical Stadsfeestzaal, a building that initially served as a banquet and exhibition hall in the early 20th century. If anything, its interior is even more opulent than its exterior, and my grandmother reminisces fondly about the formal dances that once took place within these walls. Since 1983, the building has been designated a protected monument. Following a devastating fire in 2000, the building underwent a stunning renovation and now functions as a shopping center. Exterior: Interior: The photogrammetry model was created using pictures taken with a Nikon D5300 camera and an AF-S NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G lens, reconstructed in RealityCapture, decimated in ZBrush, and finally enhanced by Shawn Mitford with backfaces built in 3ds Max.
