the over-engineered wheel marker
thingiverse
I changed to my winter wheels and wanted to print something to mark which side they came from. I wanted it to be **easily attachable** but the wheels should still be **stackable**. But I didn't found something really good for me, so I decided to make my own. I designed this as a print-in-place model, so you can print this as one part an break the mechanism apart afterwards. You put this in one screw hole and simply pull on the tap from the inside. To get it out, simply push the tap in and at the same time push the whole thing out of the screw hole. **Please note:** This is designed for *VW Golf 6* wheels! As I have not that much vehicles to test them on, I can't really tell if they work on other wheels. But I would expect them to work on most wheels of mid-sized cars with **M14 wheel screws**. If you want to make these, please print one first and test it before you make all. This is my first project with a more complex mechanism, so there could still be some problems with other printers or cars. *If you printed these, it would be very nice if you share some feedback and also write which car you made them for. Maybe I will change something or add other version. You would really help me to improve this. Thank you very much!*
