The Original VeNect Connector Quarter Inch Size
thingiverse
The VeNect Connector is a Vector Equilibrium Intersection Point that quarter inch diameter rods and dowels can be inserted into. It can be used to build a tetrahedron (4 VeNects), a Vector Equilibrium (13 VeNects) or anything composed of the Isometric Vector Matrix Geometry. The component is sized for any 1/4 diameter dowel or rod, but can also be scaled down to accommodate items like toothpicks and cotton swabs, or scaled up to fit shafts of ballpoint pens, and even larger for PVC Piping. Included in this distribution are the original STL file that can be resized in any 3D software that supports the format, and a 3W file with added supports that is print ready on any printer that supports the format. The insert points are intentionally loose. Adding a single layer of tape to your dowel or rod should result in a snug fit. Alternatively, if you don't plan on ever disassembling your model, a small amount of hot glue can also work well. This solid was designed in Blender3D, which uses arbitrary units. Each "Unit" is intended to correspond to 1 MM. If your software indicates that the model spans many meters, simply scale it down to 1/1000th its original size.
