the Orchid Cuff

the Orchid Cuff

The Orchid Cuff's design is inspired by a pattern I developed by distilling an orchid flower into geometric shapes reminiscent of Arabic and Japanese motifs. My goal was to demonstrate the capabilities of 3D printing without sacrificing style or authenticity, ensuring that the cuff doesn't appear cheaply made or overly reliant on 3D printing technology. To achieve this aesthetic, I recommend printing the cuff in glazed ceramic with metal accents, as this combination creates a sophisticated look that elevates the design above its digital origins. The flexible linkage element can be printed using flexible filament for added durability, but for cost-conscious individuals, regular rubber bands can be used as a viable alternative.
