As many of you was expecting this is **The Orbiter v1.5** high precision extruder design. **This extruder version was designed in cooperation with LDO Motors and Vivedino, without their great support this product would not exist!** **Special thanks to the Voron community to make this design so popular!** **HOT!!!** [Check out the new filament sensor add on with filament auto loading and unload button!](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4932876) [Click here to join our Facebook support group!](https://www.facebook.com/groups/705637896767655) [**New Orbiter F2.85 for 2.85mm filament**](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4860182) **Short Spek:** - Gear ratio - 7.5:1 - 12 mm diameter filament pushing gears - Filament pushing force: - LDO-36STH17-1004AHG 17mm stepper up to 7.7Kg - LDO-36STH20-0504AHG 20mm stepper up to 9.4Kg - Filament acceleration up to 600mm/s^2 - Retraction speed: 60mm/s(24V power supply), 30mm/s (12V power supply) - Overall weight is about 140g (with the 17mm stepper) - Maximum operating temperature ~120 C **Main differences to V1:** - DuPont Delrin molded planetary gears; - Glass fiber reinforced Nylon housing and latch; - Filament exit guide part of the extruder housing; - PTFE tube connector on top; - New stepper option LDO-36STH20-0504AHG - 20mm long with more torque. - some internal bearings dimension has been changed to simplify assembly and improve the molding process quality. Of course you can still print all the parts by yourself as in case of the v1.0, but the aluminum spider shafty is still recommended. **Please be aware that the mounting footprint of the V1.5 is slightly different from V1, so all the adapters need slight changes. I will take care of modifying all the supports I have designed let me know if you need some support or adapter design which is not existing yet.**
