The Old Spanish Chimney
sketchfab
The Old Spanish Chimney and an adjacent well are believed to have been built as far back as 1671 and were initially part of a structure used during quarrying operations. This building was likely constructed by Alonso Diaz Mejia, overseer of the quarrying efforts, either for his own use or as living quarters for workers. The coquina quarry itself can be found just around the corner in present-day Anastasia State Park.
