I've decided to participate in the #IceboxChallenge. Apparently, appliances are designed to fit inside refrigerators. I found out this by doing some research. A winner was announced in a challenge between Makerbot and GE's Firstbuild, specifically at https://firstbuild.com/blog/post/icebox-challenge-winners/215/. However, if you have a strong Wi-Fi signal, it can bypass the intel edison by using only the powered usb.
