The North Face Tent Stake Cap Stomper
thingiverse
Many campers are tired of jamming tent spikes into the ground, fearing they'll snap or bend at an inopportune angle. This is particularly true for aluminum spikes like those included with my North Face Fusion 2 tent. The issue lies in their awkward angle and a notch at the top that makes them prone to bending if not handled carefully. To overcome this problem, I created a makeshift extension that allows me to drive the spike into the ground without straining it. Its length extends down to the full body of the spike, while its broad top provides a flat surface for pressing against. I put my new tool to the test over the weekend on a campsite and was pleased with the results – it worked flawlessly.
