The Nabara 2 unexpected engravings
sketchfab
Model 2102017 identifies a unique discovery at the Nabara 2 Shelter where oval engravings have been found with no previously known counterparts from over 400 reported sites in Ennedi, Chad since Bailloud's systematic surveys began in 1957. Similarities are drawn to the pecked petroglyphs of Azrenga and Anoa, but comparing engraved petroglyphs to pecked ones is like comparing vastly different objects. The oval engravings are situated on the shelter ceiling at a height of seven to nine meters above the flat floor, making them inaccessible without specialized equipment or a long lens. To learn more about this groundbreaking find, read the article "The Oval Engravings of Nabara 2 (Ennedi, Chad)" in Arts magazine's Open Access publication.
