The Mouse Shroud Ender 3 V2 Neo Dual 5015 fan Shroud
thingiverse
File Description: The Mouse shroud is done! It's been a long project in the making, with many different versions. Makes, and test prints. Im Currently running the v4 prototype myself, with the spacer. the final version the spacer is not needed, the hight difference is made into the design, plus the sensor is moved 0,5 mm to the left and 1 mm towards the front. which is what i measured as an offset on the Prototype v4. The offset might deviate on your print, since some sanding might be needed, depending on you print metode and quality. Mine is printed as follow: PETG 245 C 4 or 5 walls cubic infill (about 35%) tree support touching build plate only (make sure your support is touching all of the needed places (higher resolution slicing can help that, See picture for my tree support setting in cura 5.2.1) Speed 40-45 mm/s After mounting Depending on your 5015 fans. You need to adjust your airflow way down, in your slicer, for me 7,5% airflow seems to be equal to the standart CHEP PETG profile. I haven't printed with PLA, but a from a "water test" setting on the printer fan speed at 90 (its 100 in the picture i posted), out of 255 seems to be equal to 255 with stock fan. meaning 255/100=2,55 90/2,55=35,29 % in cura, that would be my starting point when printing pla, but ofcours some calibration is need for it to be dialled in to perfection. Personal Description: I usually draw more "simpel" stuff / brackets etc. I have never done airflow, i might be in over my head on this one. It took a long time and many tries to get it just right. The base shroud file i got from someone els, but it looks like he/she have taken down their post. (i can't find it) it's a remix of the Mighty Gogo, and is/was a work in progress Aswell. I'm working on queting down my E3V2 Neo, by replacing all fans. I don't like the thought about adapter plates and/or moving the auto bed level sensor. Having to make X and Y adjustments in software, is not my cup of tea. Therefore, this project of a shroud fitting "around" the autobed level sensor, with a "Janky" airduct. The bed level sensor is turned 90 degrees to make room for the airduct on the left. This should not affect the probe quality. i haven't noticed any problems the last couple of prints, i have done. I suggest to put come cable connectors on the stock fans, when cutting the wires, as well on the new fans you're mounting. so that if you decide to go back to stock, the fan swap is plug and play :) I uploaded a picture of my DB Measurements, the printer have gotten way quieter, and comfortable to be around, so mission succes. Ps. if you want to do as little as possible to quiet the ender 3 v2 neo down, my suggestion is swapping out the 4010, to a quieter 4020 fan. and placing the printer on a slap with foam under! The Noice doesn't travel through walls anymore. Update 01.04.2023 A friend i have made through the Neo Community have discovered that the clearance might not the good with the standart Neo, because the belt housing on the left stick out further, he have provided the file named The_Mouse_Ender_3_Neo Wich fits :) I'm not sure Wich one on them fits the MAX model, you'll have to measure how far out you housing stick, the v2 Neo sticks 10,6 mm from the x gantry. the Neo stick out more than that. so, if your MAX housing is further out than 10,6 mm try the above-mentioned file. Thank you MR S.
