The Motopedal

The Motopedal

grabcad

This concept bike design was created a few years back when Motoped gained fame. The creator used an engine kit from China attached to a Norco Sasquatch hardtail frame initially, but later custom-built a frame for better speed and gearing. A unique feature is the shift kit that allows running the engine through the bicycle transmission, offering shifting gears, improved low-end for climbing hills, and high-end for increased speed. However, drivetrain adjustment issues can affect performance. The bike has a top speed of 50 km on flat ground or sloped down, can handle any terrain a mountain bike can, and offers a range of 70 km/tank on gas alone without pedaling, weighing 70 lbs. After years of use, the creator replaced the seized engine for just $99 from China. The rear shock is by X-Fusion Vector R, and Truvativ bicycle pedals are used. The creator encourages others to model and build their motored bike in CAD, showcasing it and appreciating likes.
