The Monument
thingiverse
The great city of London faced one of its most catastrophic disasters on September 1666, a three-day conflagration that ravaged thousands of structures to their core. Rising from these ashes is The Monument, a beacon of remembrance for a tragic event known to Londoners by this same name, positioned one block away from the forthcoming 3D printing display which coincidentally occurs 348 years after the blaze was brought under control. Regrettably, my participation in the exhibition has fallen through, but should you attend, take in the spectacular view by ascending 311 steps along the cantilevered staircase to the vantage point within The Monument. Alternatively, if the stairs prove too arduous, one might contemplate a miniature reproduction instead - just print one out and gain insight into the historical event that shaped the city.
With this file you will be able to print The Monument with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on The Monument.
