THE MODEL G. BALLOON CAR
thingiverse
It's clear this design uses excessive materials, resulting in the balloon car failing as expected, but it served as a valuable test case for SolidWorks. To achieve success with this concept, try scaling down the dimensions to create a more functional vehicle. I was pleased with how it turned out, and suggest utilizing #4 nails as wheel pins. Also, consider modifying the back of the wheel to make it flat instead of rounded. We employed sparse density, which led to leaks in the jet tube; attempts to seal it using paint were unsuccessful. Ultimately, the prototype weighed in at 10.1 oz.
