I always loved this puzzle but couldn’t find it anywhere; well, ebay has used ones for $35+… This sliding tile tower puzzle consists of four layers. Each completed chain is a different color, Red, Black, Yellow, and Blue and you will need a total of 15 sliding faces. There is one missing U (hence the name of The Missing Link) so the Faces can be slid and scrambled. Color 1 = '< X X >' Color 2 = '< X X >' Color 3 = '< X X >' Color 4 = '< X >' Extra materials 2 - Standard skateboard bearing - 22mm outside / 8mm inside / 7mm tall Superglue Paint Printing The parts should be orientated correctly for printing. The following parts need supports. Stationary Piece – needs supports for the Bearing and the T-slots Face – needs supports for the T-slots Assembly 1. Press the bearings into the Stationary piece 2. Superglue the Shaft onto the Top 3. Insert the Shaft and Top glued piece into the Rotate Piece 4. Press fit the smaller end of the Shaft into the Bearing 5. Paint the U’s and X’s and glue them onto the Faces 6. Insert the Sliding Faces 7. Repeat steps 1 --> 4 Number of pieces needed 1 – Stationary 2 – Rotate 2 – Top 2 – Shaft Option #1 – You will have to paint/glue the U or X onto the Blank Face 7 - Chain U 8 - Chain X 15 – Faces Option #2 – You will have to paint the U or X different colors 7 - Face - U 8 - Face - X
