The Mandalorian Neo Crusaders were the most cohesive and well-organized Mandalorian forces during the reign of Mandalore the Supreme. Their emblem features a classic hoop with thorns from the early Crusaders, but it now includes a new element: a skull, likely added by Cassus Fett himself. The primary objective of Mandalore the Supreme was to integrate non-Taung galactic species into the ranks of Mandalorians, while preserving their unique culture. Alongside his trusted Field Marshal Cassus Fett, Mandalore the Supreme ensured the survival of Mandalorian traditions over a thousand years. Named after the original Mandalorian Crusaders, they fought valiantly in the Mandalorian Wars and were later reorganized under the leadership of the Mandalore Guardian. Currently, the Neo Crusaders' emblem is the earliest recorded use of the skull in Mandalorean iconography. What does this skull signify? It resembles the shape of the T-visors on the helmets of the Neo Crusaders, which might suggest that it represents the Taung skull – the true origins of the Mandalorians – or possibly a prototype for the mythosaurus skull. However, this remains purely speculative at present.
