The Makers Magnetic Sandy Clock

02/10/2020 Update - The stand has been removed from download as having the clock on display at such an angle causes issues with keeping time accurately. However, the clock does work great flat. This is a magnetic clock that uses ball bearings as hands over a thin layer of sand. Over time, the ball bearings leave trails for the hour and minute circular routes. This clock is quite calming to stare at and I have become fond of its minimalist look. Its actually quite easy to assemble. But does use a fair amount of filament (sorry about that). There is a quick timelapse video I recorded of it in use. Sorry about the quality.https://www.instagram.com/p/CFoq1lGjhyP/ You will need a high torque clock movement. I used the one below. If you want to use another, check the dimensions, including the dimensions of the stem. This is important!!!https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B084LT62X6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 15mm dia x 2mm thick N35 Neodymium Magnet - 1.8kg Pullhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00TACL9QI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I used Orange Sand.
