The MakerBot Replicator is their latest and greatest personal 3D printer, featuring a build envelope almost the size of a loaf of bread allowing for larger prints. The new MakerBot Stepstruder MK8 enables dual-extrusion capabilities for the first time. Key technical specifications include a build envelope of 225 x 145 x 150mm, a build volume of nearly 5 liters, layer thicknesses ranging from .2 to .3mm with a stock nozzle, and a speed of 40mm/s. It features MakerBot's MightyBoard single-piece motherboard, 5 axis motor control, an LCD display and multi-directional control pad, and an RGB LED lighting system. The printer works with ABS, PLA, and other materials in filament diameters of 1.75mm, and has overall dimensions of 320 x 467 x 381mm, weighing 32lbs.
