THE “MAIDENHEAD BOY” STATUE by LYDIA KARPINSKA

The "Maidenhead Boy" Statue has been restored to its spot at the top of High Street after a vandalization incident. It was officially unveiled on Monday, February 28th by our esteemed patron, Mayor Cllr Emrys Richards. Following the ceremony, we headed over to Messrs Boville Wright, an art supplies shop that generously offered us hot cross buns and coffee as a welcome treat. The restoration of the statue was a collaborative effort involving the Royal Borough, Maidenhead Advertiser, and our society. We extend our gratitude to everyone involved, particularly Lydia Parker (née Karpinska), who took charge of organizing the project's execution.
