This sculpture, originating from the church of Saint Giacomo in Lazzaro alla Tomba, Verona, was crafted by a master artist of Sant'Anastasia during the early years of the 14th Century.\r\nThe work is part of a trio of sculptures, portraying The Madonna. The two other sculptures in the group (also accessible to download from Scan the World) depict Jesus and Saint John, visualizing the scene of Jesus suffering on the crucifixion.
