The M.A.S.S. Device (GI Joe)
thingiverse
The 1984 Sunbow GI Joe cartoon centered around the M.A.S.S. Device. A plastic toy was released for this, but I chose to base this model entirely off two images from the cartoon found online because the cartoon version looked more impressive. As modeled, it is quite large, measuring roughly 16" x 10" depending on how or where you measure it. Intended to be printed at 25%, printing larger or smaller may result in too much or too little detail. The physical version in the pictures measures roughly 4" x 3.5" x 4" tall. This file is free to download, listed as "non-commercial" because this is a copy, not my own design. Neither you nor I are allowed to buy or sell physical copies of this 3D model. You are allowed and encouraged to print copies for your personal use. If you have downloaded this file from a source other than my site on thingiverse.com without my permission. Much respect and gratitude goes out to past and present members of our Armed Forces, who are the "Real American Heroes". Your sacrifice allows people like me to live in peace, freedom, and make silly little toys like these. Printing tips: I printed all files without supports. Orientation is pretty much as expected: The console_generator is printed with the base down. The beam emitter, element containers (you will need 3), and the crystal are all printed pointed up. The overhangs on the console_generator and crystal are shallow enough to not need supports.
