The Lugger

The Lugger

This was created to provide people with a helping hand when they need one. You can carry two one-gallon jugs at a time along with grocery bags easily. It works well for the half-gallon jugs too. I've included three files for download. One is the updated revision and the other two versions are identical except one will have the name "The Lugger" and one will be plain. The overall dimensions of the print are approximately 2.9 inches X 7.0 inches X 1.625 inches tall, which translates to 73.6 MM X 177.8 MM X 41.27 MM. The Lugger will use four six-millimeter round by one-and-a-half millimeter thick N50 magnets. You can find a link for some in the text below. https://youtu.be/tPgmUhL6Iog Print Settings: Printer Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX BYOL Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 200 micron Infill: 20 to 40%... Notes: Depending on which material you choose, you may want to add a raft or other bed adhesion structures depending on your printer. I made mine from both PET G and ABS which I normally don't require the use of a brim or a raft. However, I did need to use support for the magnet recesses, but I found that no support worked well also. The magnets will be glued in place. ***Updated revision: The Lugger Rev. A, will require support. I will keep the older versions of this up as they require no support, the Rev A however will require support but is a nicer product. How I Designed This Design: The magnets are six by one-and-a-half millimeter and can be purchased online here. http://www.ebay.com/itm/100pcs-disc-Magnets-Dia-6x1-5mm-N50-strong-Neodymium-Magnet-Rare-Earth-Magnet-/351719603635?_trksid=p2352135.m2548.l4275 Or you can use your own source. I feel the ergonomic design feels great when handling two gallons at once and you can feel comfortable carrying it. You can clip it right in place and pick up the two gallons at once without any drag or catching. The gallons fall into place using their own weight to rest on each other. Also, it's designed to be handy when you need to put them down and reach for your keys or open a door. The Lugger will not fall off and you can pick it back up again for that more streamlined usage. You can clip it on a purse for mobility, and finally, when you're done with it, simply post it back on the fridge for storage. How to use: Even though The Lugger was designed to help you carry two gallons of milk or water at one time, it also works well for lugging around two half-gallons of milk. Or you can use it for grocery bags.
