The Lorain
thingiverse
Sears, Roebuck and Company sold over 70,000 kit homes called Sears Modern Homes between 1909 and 1940. These innovative houses could be built using lumber, electrical fittings and other necessities included in the kits. Today, many of these high-quality homes still stand in cities and towns across the United States as a testament to their durability and the people who assembled them. One such home is the Lorain, Model #3281, listed in the 1933 catalog for $1,287 to $1,845. A 1:64 scale model of the Lorain was created by Michael Curry based on the original Sears & Roebuck Modern Homes Catalog listing.
