The Little Digger

The Little Digger

thingiverse

Little Digger is an exciting toy for kids made by its creator to bring joy during Christmas. It's a pre-assembled excavator with three movable joints on the arm and bucket, a rotating base for real digging action, and turning wheels. The model was created using Tinkercad and can be modified by users. The creator shared a video of his kids playing with it and also provided instructions on how to print and assemble it, which takes about 95 minutes at the recommended settings. However, there have been reports of arm joints breaking during play. To address this issue, the designer made improvements to the design by enlarging connecting rods and adjusting elbow joints. The joints are now also enclosed to prevent them from sliding up and binding. A video showcasing the updated version is available for viewing. The creator encourages users to try scaling the design but cautions that tolerances will scale proportionately, so it may not work perfectly. The Little Digger model can be accessed on Tinkercad (https://tinkercad.com/things/eoIsmBEg9vA-little-digger) and a video of the toy in action is available for viewing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXuIr3-6vQI).
