The Legend of Zelda: Wingcrest (Remix)

<p>This is a remix of <em>Llaurik's The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Crest Keychain</em> which has been cut into separate parts for multi-extruder printing.</p> <h3>Updated July 3, 2020:</h3> <p>I received reports that the original models I posted were not slicing correctly in recent versions of PrusaSlicer. Rather than try to fix up the messy cuts I made to the original model, I chose to rebuild it from scratch in Fusion 360. The updated stl files are error-free, and slice properly. The bonding between parts has also been improved by adding internal overlaps/pegs. The Fusion 360 source is available in the files section for anyone who wants to tweak the design.</p> <h3>Original Release:</h3> <p>This was done in a bit of a hurry, so the cuts/patches aren't the greatest, but everything stitches together quite nicely in Slic3r and Cura. It makes a great hanging ornament, but I don't recommend this version for use as a keychain, as the bond between the different colour segments is likely not strong enough to withstand the daily abuse that most keychains endure.</p> <p><strong>Please be aware that this remix was not designed to be printed in pieces on a single-extruder machine and assembled afterwards.</strong> Use Llaurik's original model to get everything at once in a single colour.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>The print in the cover photo was done on a quad extruder Prusa i3 MK2 MMU as follows:</p> <ul> <li><strong>wingcrest_body.stl</strong> <em>silver PLA (extruder 1)</em></li> <li><strong>wingcrest_triforce.stl</strong> <em>gold PLA (extruder 2)</em></li> <li><strong>wingcrest_wings.stl</strong> <em>white PLA (extruder 3)</em></li> </ul> <p>When printed at 100% size, the model measures approximately 62mm x 50mm.</p> <p>Happy printing!</p>
