The Last X-Maxx Bumper Mounts

Tiered of buying and replacing the bumper mounts every time you turn on your X-Maxx? I was so I modeled up these bumper mounts. Hopefully these will be the last bumper mounts you will ever need. Front and rear mounts are included.

Print these bad mofo's with TPU and they will take some serious abuse. Don't bother printing them with anything other than TPU, they are too thick, and the point was to use a material that was way more resilient to being crushed.

I did model in some hex nut pockets because I thought they might be necessary but so far they haven't been.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Creality

Printer:

Ender 3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

.3

Infill:

85-90 cubic subdivision

Filament: Overture TPU whatever

Notes:

100% infill is probably overkill but definitely use more then 50%
I used 6 walls 95% cubic subdivision, .3 layer height with a .4 nozzle. They are holding up great with good stiffness and bounce to withstand some really hard crashes.
Custom Section

CC license

Part of why I work on and post these files is because I wanted said part or mod and can model it myself, no commercial or better parts exist, and I simply enjoy creating. I personally hate people selling FDM printed stuff online though. FDM 3d printing is awesome but, in my opinion just not awesome enough to sell those parts to someone. I also understand there is a need/want for them as well since not everyone has a 3d printer. With that said part of the CC license I chose to publish under is "Non-Commercial and Attribution". This means no profiting off my work, selling the .stl's or printing them and selling the final product, also giving credit for using one's work. I spent time on designing these things and posted it for everyone to freely use as (PERSONAL USE) and (NOT FOR COMMERCIAL USE). Even though I hate it... I'll ignore the violation of the CC license so long as you add in the description that this is not my (your) design, give credit to me (Erin Newman) or (GonzoStrange) and add a link to this page. I think this is fair since if I did want to sell the parts as well, I would have to compete with you to sell my own work.Even without asking (as its part of most of the cc licenses) attribution should always be given to the author when using their work.

Category: R/C Vehicles
