The digital knight is a modern reinterpretation of an art piece from the late 1400s titled The Knight. The Knight (From Caxton's Game and Playe of the Chesse) Caxton's books often lack title pages, but some have prologues and colophons. Pages are unnumbered and printed in Gothic character known as black letter. Most books are small folio size. Caxton received patronage from top leaders and was highly respected throughout Europe. A miniature painting in a Lambeth Palace manuscript shows Earl Rivers presenting his first book to King Edward IV. It's believed that Caxton passed away at the end of 1491, aged sixty-nine.
