The Kitronic MyMiniBoomBox
myminifactory
This is a 3D-printed boombox that utilizes a Kitronic Deluxe stereo amplifier kit! My concept was to recreate the look of an old-school boombox, the classic modular version that Bart Simpson would've carried on his shoulder, blasting tunes. The issue with many compact amplifier setups is that they're either all-in-one, without any way to adjust speaker positions, or have loose speakers that need to be carried separately. When I was a kid, I had a boombox with detachable speakers, so I could either carry the whole thing by the handle or pop off the individual speakers and position them as needed. I applied this same design idea to the MyMiniBoomBox. I designed the parts to print without supports, and no glue is required to assemble the box. The Kitronic Deluxe stereo amplifier kit used must be an unassembled kit; otherwise, a pre-assembled kit will need its speaker wires cut and re-spliced (a simple task) so they can be threaded between the main body and each side speaker housing.
