The Joyful Yell
thingiverse
Human: Original STL file of Bendansie's sculpture The Joyful Yell for Stereolithography print, features drainage/bleed holes. Print Settings: Printer: Revised SLA250 printer set up specifically for this project. Rafts: Disabled rafts for easy release from the build platform. Supports: Active supports enabled to ensure structural integrity. Resolution: Set at a precise 0.1mm resolution for maximum detail accuracy. How I Designed This Design software: Utilized Magics, a popular 3D modeling tool. This is my reinterpretation of Bendansie's The Joyful Yell sculpture, carefully modified for successful stereolithography printing. Default Preparation Sequence: First Step: Inspect the file with fix functionality to address any potential issues, including holes, multiple shells, or noise artifacts. Next Step: Carefully orient the part for optimal printing configuration. Hollowing: Perform a hollow feature operation using a wall thickness of 3.5mm and a core resolution of 1mm for enhanced print quality. Smooth out the inner core to minimize rough edges. Drainage/Bleed Holes: Add strategic drainage holes at the bottom for efficient resin flow. Insert small bleed holes within the sculpture's mouth to prevent unwanted resin from seeping in during the printing process.
