A humanoid species from a galaxy far, far away, Jawas are known to inhabit desert planets such as Tatooine. These nomadic traders possess expertise in scavenging for valuable items and equipment from the wreckage of starships and other discarded technology. Standing approximately ten centimeters tall, Jawas possess an elongated head with no discernible neck or shoulders. Their arms are long and thin, ending in four-fingered hands that allow them to manipulate objects with ease. The species' legs are short and stumpy, supporting a body covered in tattered robes that serve as protection from the harsh desert environment. Jawas are skilled traders who roam the deserts in search of rare and valuable items. They inhabit makeshift settlements known as Jawas bases, where they repair and refurbish their scavenged goods for resale to other species throughout the galaxy.
