The Ishtar Gate

A Tribute to the Ishtar Gate of Babylon. I painstakingly recreated this ancient marvel, modeling it after the very same Ishtar Gate on display at Pergamon Museum in Berlin. While staying true to its original form, I did make a few subtle adjustments here and there. The texture applied to the gate model is a single, expertly tiled image that mirrors the intricate details of the original. My process began with crafting high-poly models for each component, which were then precision-baked onto the texture using ID maps to define distinct materials. Finally, I assembled the entire gate from modular pieces, carefully joining them together to create an authentic representation of this historic wonder.
