The infinity-machine - One turn in 2019 years (Die Unendlichkeitsmaschine)

Tada ... The Infinity Machine The dimensions of this machine measure 350 x 200 mm, mounted on an 18 mm oak board secured by M3-machine-screws. All components, excluding the shafts and wooden board, are 3D-printed. I chose a stepper motor for its ease of speed control. At approximately 65 rpm, the last gear or shaft (located in the upper right corner) will rotate once every 2,019 years ;-) (a tongue-in-cheek comment on building a machine whose results I'll never see). The final gear was cast in concrete; its mold was also 3D-printed. If you'd like to build one, refer to the attached drilling templates, which eliminate the need for measurements. You will find an accompanying PDF file containing instructions and the Arduino sketch. Feel free to contact me if I've forgotten anything or if you have any questions. Working machine: https://youtu.be/M-dBvdqUOqY Update 2019-01-13: * The spur gears were redesigned. * The L-bracket near the stepper motor was also redesigned. * Distance tools for installing shafts into gears and worm were added. * The PDF manual was updated. Thanks to Leo. Have fun! ;-) 65.6566216 rpm
