The Infinite Hyperboloid Marble Track, Spinning Pen Holder *Marbles whirling around the hyperboloid are an endless delight!* This design combines three previous projects, featuring the hyperboloid, marble rings, and linkage bars. It serves multiple purposes - a bottomless hyperboloid holder, a revolving pen holder with a base, or an infinite marble track. Kids trying to insert marbles into the earlier pencil holder project inspired me to add two donut structures at both ends, creating an endless hyperboloid marble track. To connect the terminal parts to the main body, I referenced the snap-in design used in previous projects. Marbles with diameters between 10mm and 16mm can be used. You may need a large number of marbles to fill the tracks, but you don't have to - try experimenting with just a few, like ¼ or 1/3 (about 30 to 50), to see how it works. Alternatively, using only one cap results in a revolving pen holder that can hold pens of diameters between 10mm and 16mm. Warning: Once the end parts are snapped into place, they become very difficult to remove. A looser version is provided for those who prefer it. Have fun while being careful! See Also: 1.
