The Impossible Puzzle Made Possible By FDM Printing

I conceptualized this challenge after observing a similar concept created by Mr. Puzzle. By 3D printing the challenge, you'll discover the hidden mechanism that makes it possible, rendering it no longer a mystery for the creator. Nevertheless, it will undoubtedly stump your family and friends. Unlike its wooden counterparts with glued joints, FDM printing produces seamless pieces and a genuine puzzle for those unfamiliar with what's happening inside. I designed the holding compartment (cage) to accommodate either a spark plug or a 1/8" x 3" bolt/threaded rod. A 3" x 1/8" Toggle Bolt would also be effective if you have one on hand. Of course, metric equivalents will work too. Adding nuts or wing nuts to the bolts enhances the puzzle's complexity - the wingnut creates an intriguing puzzle with the threaded rod. The bottom of the object simply needs to fit into the 5mm hole in the bottom of the cage. Two 2mm steel rods keep the object trapped inside, each one measuring 35mm in length. The secret lies within a small 2mmx5mm steel rod concealed inside, held in place by a 1mmx3mm neodymium magnet. To release the spark plug or bolts (solve the puzzle), simply knock the challenge against your hand or a hard object, causing the 5mm steel rod to fall. Without tipping the challenge, move the free steel bar to the side and slide it out while pulling it away from the challenge. The object inside can now be freed.
