The Ideal Scout
sketchfab
The Boy Scout statue originated as a small figurine in 1914 at Dr. Charles D. Hart's suggestion, who was then president of the Philadelphia Council. A larger-than-life replica was commissioned by the council in 1937 for its new headquarters. Five Boy Scouts posed for the final statue between 1914 and 1937, with the resulting figure being a composite image. The bronze replica was acquired by the Sioux Council when it moved to its new headquarters in 2006.
