This is a fully functional prototype of an outdoor project that anyone can implement in their own backyard. It's a wave generator that uses a wind helix and an scotch yoke to transform circular movement into linear movement, resulting in waves on the surface of water that perfectly simulate a beach scenario. I came up with this idea some time ago and I'm excited to finally work on it for my own house. It's common to have sandboxes for kids to play in, but why not create your very own beach in the backyard? The really cool thing about this model is that it replicates an actual natural scenario. We all know how the moon generates water attraction causing waves and as a result wind currents, so wind and waves in the ocean are closely related. But this time, it's the inverse relation between the wind and wave - the faster the wind blows, the bigger and more intense the waves become. https://youtu.be/mvwSYqWLoLw https://youtu.be/mWzQB0ptSxk
