The Hamstervitory

I'm absolutely beaming with pride over this incredible design, truly the best one I've created so far! My Syrian hamster needed some serious new digs next, and since he's bigger than my mice or dwarf hamsters, I knew I had to come up with something that offered plenty of room inside. My hamsters used to love getting their exercise out of cage playtime in a massive cardboard box tower I built just for them, which I dubbed the Hamstervitory. It was this elaborate playground where they could run wild and free, but since our move, I haven't had the space to set up another table for their little antics. Both my furry friends and I have really missed the Hamstervitory, so I wanted Sasquatch to have his very own official Hamstervitory that looked like a real observatory – not just some tower. And yes, I spell it Hamstervitory instead of Hamstervatory because I think the portmanteau sounds and looks way better. So, I set out to create a wee observatory that would be perfect for Sasquatch's needs. I carefully crafted every detail, labeling it, hollowing it out, and adding a fake decorative "telescope" in a small slit at the top just like a real observatory. This added feature not only makes it look super cool but also allows for easier cleaning with another opening, keeps some air flowing through, and provides endless fun with the telescope's hollow tube – perfect for hiding treats or strands of hay for my furry friends to discover. The result far exceeded my wildest expectations, and I'm absolutely smitten (especially in this stunning sapphire silk filament that blows me away). But even after it printed and I removed all the support material, I made a few tweaks to take it to the next level. First, I ensured the telescope was completely hollow – just a tiny oversight on my part, but Sasquatch won't be bothered. Then, I slightly enlarged the entrance hole so he can fit comfortably, even if he's a bit plumper. Finally, I moved the base and top closer together to fill in those teeny gaps between them. In my book, this file is now perfect, this object is flawless, and Sasquatch has his very own permanent Hamstervitory – it's official! I might just print another one with these improvements, which would undoubtedly mean getting another furry friend (which I'm sure will be totally justified). My pets are never spoiled, ever. They're always happy to take on whatever adventures come their way.
