After discovering the challenges of carrying the Kinect for 3D scanning with ReconstructMe, a tripod-mounted handle was deemed necessary. This accessory allows attachment to most cameras and Kinect tripod adapters, utilizing standard 1/4"-20 nuts and screws. To facilitate installation, a 1 layer thick wall above the trapped nut on the adapter is designed for easy removal with a screwdriver's end. The internal screw hole in the adapter is slightly undersized to ensure a tight grip during attachment to the pistol grip.
