The guillotine

We created a 3D-design for a school project that focused on history. Our idea was inspired by the French Revolution and its infamous guillotine. We broke down the design into various components, which presented some challenges during production. However, we successfully overcame these obstacles and were thrilled with our final result. This project marked our first time working with SketchUp, Cura, and a 3D-printer. One of the difficulties we encountered was that the 'nek ding 2x' component turned out smaller than the knife. Given the time constraints, we addressed this issue by polishing the knife instead of redesigning it. If we had more time, we would have created a new design for the knife to ensure proper alignment. We also experienced problems with the 'guillotine zij paal 03 2x printen.stl' component. Upon reviewing the design and image, you can see that there is a noticeable discrepancy. Fortunately, this discrepancy did not affect our guillotine's balance, as it remained perfectly stable despite the small prisms.
