The Grinch is a misanthrope, despising the joy and cheerfulness of others. He lives on Mount Crumpit with his loyal dog Max. The Grinch looks down at Whoville below, grumbling about the noise and chaos caused by its inhabitants. He especially detests Christmas, considering it to be nothing but a nuisance. One year, he decides to take matters into his own hands, stealing all the festive decorations and gifts from the Whos in hopes of ruining their holiday. However, the Grinch's plan backfires when he discovers the true meaning of Christmas on Mount Crumpit with Max by his side.
