These scaled-down replicas of the great pyramids are based on Wikipedia's estimated sizes, measuring just 1/110th their actual scale. The largest pyramid, a representation of Khufu's monument, has a base that measures an impressive 8 inches by 8 inches. To make painting easier and more accurate, I removed the caps from these miniatures, allowing artists to replicate what the ancient Egyptians might have envisioned - gleaming white surfaces with a resplendent gold capstone. By applying a cost-saving measure, I opted to shell both the pyramids and their crowning caps.
