The Gordon Schools
thingiverse
This is Gordon School in Scotland, designed specifically for 3D printing as an educational project by myself. Unfortunately, my printer is currently out of commission, so I'm unable to verify print quality. Gordon School has been engineered to be printed without support structures, but assembly will require glue. If parts are printed at the preset scale, the finished model should measure approximately 70cm wide. To achieve optimal results, consider using these suggested print settings: a shell thickness of 2mm, an infill density of 20-30%, and layer heights of 0.1mm for the main sections and 0.2mm for the roof areas, with 100% fill on the latter. If any issues arise during printing, please report them in the comments section below, and I'll do my best to resolve the problem promptly. When assembling Gordon School, start from the central "clock tower" component, as its gable ends protrude about 1.5mm beyond the side walls. Gordon Schools was first built in 1839 at the behest of the Duchess of Gordon, with design credit going to Archibald Simpson. The plural name reflects its replacement of four existing schools surrounding Huntly, a town located in northeastern Scotland.
