The Golden Toad (Incilius periglenes)

The Golden Toad (Incilius periglenes)

myminifactory

Two versions available. One with the base and a tabletop version without the base. The Golden Toad was a brightly colored toad species that was endemic to a small area in Costa Rica. The last known individual was seen in 1989, and despite extensive searches in its known habitat, the species has not been seen since. The rapid decline and eventual extinction of the Golden Toad is believed to be largely due to the effects of climate change and habitat destruction. It is considered to be one of the earliest and most well-known examples of a species being driven to extinction by human activities, and serves as a cautionary tale for the need for conservation efforts to protect biodiversity. Model includes a Pre-supported version as well as the Chitubox files if you want to scale up the model without damaging the supports. The model is sized for 1:1 of the actual size. You can reduce or enlarge the model using the slicing software if you need a different size. Pre-supported model is oriented to minimize supports to the face and other high-detail parts. Care should be taken when removing the supports to avoid damaging the model.
