The Torre del Oro stands proudly on Seville's left bank, where the Guadalquivir river flows majestically through the city. This magnificent albarrana tower was designed using state-of-the-art "Ingeniería 3D Digital" technology. Two distinct sections make up this impressive structure, with a cleverly designed hole that allows visitors to introduce fragrant cotton balls infused with the sweet scent of orange blossoms, a classic Seville fragrance. Reaching an impressive height of 36 meters, the Torre del Oro boasts three striking bodies, each crafted during a different era. The first section was built between 1220 and 1221 by Abû I-Ulâ, the Almohad governor of Seville, who commissioned its construction. In the 14th century, Pedro I el Cruel added another body to the tower, while military engineer Sebastián Van der Borcht completed it in 1760 with a stunning dome. Known as the Tower of Gold of Seville, this architectural masterpiece is an iconic landmark located near the Maestranza bullring and the Guadalquivir River. Its towering presence rises 36 meters high on Spanish soil, making it a breathtaking sight to behold.
