I'm considering going by a code name that reflects my new abilities - maybe something like the upgraded version of the Flash, since it's clear that you weren't getting the job done. But I came to realize that with these powers, I have total control - I can be judge, jury and executioner all at once. That's why I've decided to call myself... Godspeed. — Godspeed August Heart was a former detective who used to work alongside Barry Allen. August was the only person who saw what happened when Barry got hit by lightning during a Speed Force storm in Central City. While investigating a crime organization called the Black Hole, August got struck by lightning and became the Flash's partner - or so it seemed. In reality, August turned into the ruthless vigilante known as Godspeed and sought revenge on the person he suspected was responsible for his brother's death.
