The Glaucus: A soft robot quadruped
thingiverse
The Glaucus robot, named after the Blue Sea Slug, is an open source soft robotic quadruped by Super-Releaser. It demonstrates a method that can reproduce computer-modeled geometries as seamless silicone skins. Super-Releaser hopes to apply this technology in medicine and engineering as it develops. The Glaucus has hollow interior chambers, and pressurizing them causes bending and walking motion similar to a salamander's. Access fabrication details on the updated page: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1695577. Uploaded STL files are available for download and printing custom Glaucus bots without using the same molding.
