The Gherkin, London
myminifactory
The Gherkin, officially known as 30 St Mary Axe, is a commercial skyscraper in London's skyline. Towering at 180 metres high and 41 storeys tall, the building stands out for its unique shape - reminiscent of a gherkin (hence the name). Construction began in 2001 and was completed in 2004. This iconic structure is part of "Scan The World", a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory. Through this project, we're creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for public access at no cost. Scan The World is an open-source community effort, where everyone can contribute interesting items from their surroundings. If you have something to share and want to help out, simply email stw@myminifactory.com to learn more about how you can get involved.
