The Fraction Machine
thingiverse
This method effortlessly teaches equivalency of fractions with a set of 10 rows made up of differently sized blocks. Students can rearrange these blocks freely, such as moving five 5/10 blocks to the 1/2 row or vice versa. By physically demonstrating the equivalence and total value in each row (where one row equals 1), it represents a filled square as 10! This approach is straightforward, effective, secure, and user-friendly; however, print quality may vary based on individual printers. For optimal block fitting, consider sanding each side slightly.
