The fractalizer is a massive object creator. This is an OpenSCAD script that takes a .STL model and iteratively adds it to itself following a radial pattern, done recursively so the resulting object appears like a fractal. You can use any .STL file to create your 'fractalizations'. Try using simple objects and low level numbers first to gain some expertise, as complex model fractalizations could take a lot of time to be rendered and produce massive STL files. This is just for producing MONSTER objects. I'm crazy; I know it. Instructions are included in the code, so they won't be repeated here. Download and install OpenSCAD if you don't have it. Download the files to a folder of your choice and open the .scad script. Press F5 for a quick view or F6 for a full render and STL creation. Included are a couple example fractalizations. One is a fractalization of a single cylinder, and the other is a massive fractalization of my Marvin model here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:971828 Happy fractalizations! Fractals are everywhere in nature, like chaos; this is just a proof of concept. I was a fractal artist in the past, (in the very far past, when fractal math was so dark) so expect much more if I have the time... I never give up on a true idea, or at least I try. In the meantime, you can learn why your mobile phone doesn't need an external antenna anymore here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractal_antenna. I definitely encourage you to google: fractals in nature. Everybody sees clouds every day without knowing what they see... UPDATE (21-JUL-2016): Fractalizer2 added, increasing 'fractalization' depth and introducing random ratios to create almost unrepeatable variations each render. Nobody could repeat the same render twice! Currently working on V3; stay tuned...
